In a case of a bad timing and misunderstanding, I now look like a dick. My new DJ mix series will have to change its name and so will the numbering system. Late last month I finished a mix labeled Heart Attack mix mark I. I been posting it all this month.
Well, later on a real heart attack happened in the family with a real Mark. Shit! Mark I was, what I thought, a cleaver way of saying volume one or version one. Car companies and the military uses it. Its a "designation for an item of equipment in production, used in combination with a numeral to indicate the order of adoption" like Mark-4 tank; an M-1 rifle;Jaguar Mark VII and so on.
The coincidence went right over my head until my brother pointed it out. You wanna hear people are reading your posts and checking out your mixes but this was a curve ball of feedback I never imagined. My hopes and prayers go out to Mark and next time I will name my mixes with out any life threatening associations. Sorry.
